Nestled in the bustling food court at Medan Selera, Bay Leaf Langkawi stands out as a hidden gem for food enthusiasts looking for a delightful dining experience. This charming café offers a mouthwatering selection of Western dishes, making it a must-visit spot for both locals and travelers in Langkawi.

The aroma of sizzling steaks and freshly prepared pasta fills the air, creating an inviting atmosphere that beckons you to try their culinary creations. The highlight of the menu is undoubtedly the Orange Duck Breast, which has garnered rave reviews. Customers have described it as “chef's kiss,” with perfectly crisped skin and flavorful meat that paired exquisitely with a standout sauce. Another favorite is the Sticky Lemon Grilled Chicken, known for its juicy texture that's complemented by sautéed potato cubes, making for a perfect balance on your plate.

For pasta lovers, Bay Leaf Langkawi doesn’t disappoint. The Carbonara is a delightful choice, with creamy goodness that envelops each strand of pasta, although some may find it a tad peppery—just a reminder of the chef’s generous hand. For those who appreciate a well-cooked steak, the café offers decadent options such as their medium-rare steak, praised for its doneness and flavor at an undeniably reasonable price.

The dining experience is casual yet welcoming, perfect for both quick bites and leisurely meals. Although it’s situated in a food court, the ambiance remains vibrant and full of life. Do note, however, that during peak hours, especially from 4 to 6 PM, the area may be a bit warm—an understandable trade-off for the delicious food.

Orange duck breast is so chef's kiss.. Will always visit whenever in Langkawi.. The skin is crisped to perfection, the meat is flavorful, the sauce is the star.. The place is at a foodcourt, hence you may find the area is a bit hot during sunny day and between 4-6pm.. Would love to try the steak next time..

I would rate this stall as 2nd best of western 'marhaen' in Malaysia.. but my no 1 is no longer in operation; hence this is it.. you can see the pink in the center of steak at my picture indicates the wellness of my choice, medium rare.. I had superb arabiatta as well.. the price for both steak and pasta is quite reasonable compared to high end restaurants but the most important thing is the taste itself.. definitely no1 western choice in Langkawi!

A yummy dish of Sticky Lemon grilled chicken. Chicken was not dry and the Chef recommended saute potato cubes instead as I didn't prefer mashed potatoes. Perfect combination. Portion is just nice for me, can be small for big eaters. I Will be back for more.

Nice place in a food court. Nice Italian dishes for around Rm 9 which is pretty good. I had the carbonara. Very good (a little too much pepper for me, though) friendly service. No alcohol served

This isnt the typical western stall u find in a normal food court. It is a hidden gem. Very honest and friendly owner/chef who's background was a chef at the Australian Embassy. Menu that we tried: 1) T Bone Steak seared with rosemary - ordered medium doneness very juicy and flavourful. 2) Special ordered Cabonara with add on of sliced duck - Properly made using egg and chees (not the typical milk base cabonara) flavour is really good especially with the sliced duck

This place was recommended by a friend when we had a group trip to Langkawi back in June 2022. Hands down one of the best steaks I've ever had in Malaysia. As a group, we ordered literally every item they had on their menu. Highly recommend any of their steaks because they cook it to your preferred doneness, and they do it to perfection. Their mashed potatoes, Indomee kayangan, and salted egg pasta was amazing too. Seriously been craving these dishes since, and have thought about going back to Langkawi just to feast here again. Another win to Bay Leaf is how affordable everything is. The most expensive item on their menu back in 2022 was the Full Rack of Lamb for RM320. The Steak and Mash was only RM27. Pasta was around RM18. This place is definitely a must try when on the island. Yes, the 30 mins car ride from Cenang to Kuah (where it's located) is worth it.
